My Christmas haul! Joe (Lati Yellow Ruki), Mei (Lati Yellow Coco) and Andy (Isul Nostalgia Lir) are modeling or playing with their new stuff.
Not shown is my gift from my husband—he got me an Iplehouse Stella! Thank you, honey! I can't wait until she gets here. I'm guessing it will be at least three months until she ships. XD
A better look at Andy's new Minions hat. Thank you, Mom! My sister gave me the vintage Pound Puppy, the Lego Minion, the awesome hummingbird mug, the stuffed duckling and the Make Way for Ducklings book.
Mei thinks her Totoro slippers and wee hamster stuffie are kawaii! Thanks, Sis!
Joe's new shirt and vest look very stylish. And he loves his new baseball stuff. I think he's ready for spring to get here so he can go play outside. Thank you, Mom!
Love my new barrette, Dad! It's beautiful. Thank you! <3
]]>I've also been adding some new ponies to my herd lately. These two cuties (Lily and Morning Glory) are waiting excitedly for their replacement wings to arrive. I think it's been a while since they last flew.
(Is it just me or do their little faces remind you of Jim Henson characters? I think it's their noses and smiles.)
The wee pony in the front, a Windy Wing Moon Jumper, was just recently released from her box. I bought her back in the late 80s and she has been MIB ever since. However, last week, I decided to unbox her because the plastic film on her box had horribly yellowed and I was afraid it would damage her. Plus, it was a good excuse to free her from her prison. I'm so glad I did. Now I can fully enjoy her. Look how sweet she is!
]]>This is the second month of the My Little Pony Express subscription box and this time I got Bubbles. Yay! I'm so excited. She's a pony that I've wanted since I was a little girl. It's wonderful to finally have her. There's only one other pony that I know of created in the sitting pose—Seashell. I wish there were more ponies in this pose; I think it's so cute.
In addition to Bubbles, I also received a few fun extras: a mini Lemondrops pony (a Dolly Mix pony, which originally came in a blind box with candy), two stickers (one of Baby Surprise and the other of a baby seahorse although I'm not sure which one…maybe Sea Star?), a pony pin with Surprise and Baby Surprise, and a pretty clip-on bow which matches Bubbles' colors.
It was a great pony box! I'm already excited for next month.

I recently subscribed to a monthly subcription box service for G1 My Little Ponies called "My Little Pony Express". The G1 ponies have always been my favorite, probably because they were the ponies I had when I was a kid. The person who runs this service, Ruth, also lets you send her a list of the ponies that you are looking for as well as the ponies that you already own (so that you won't receive any duplicates).
On Tuesday, I received my first pony. I subscribed to the "Classic Subscription Box – Three Months". As you can see, I got Strawberry Surpise, a Sweetberry pony, who I had on my list of ponies I wanted. There was a bit of mix up, however; she was still a bit dirty and she had some paint rubbed off of her left eye, but it was nothing that Magic Eraser and some acrylic paint couldn't fix.
I wrote to Ruth though and told her of my pony's rather scrappy appearance when she arrived (she was supposed to be clean and in "display" condition). Ruth couldn't have been nicer. She said she had never sent out a pony that was dirty before and that she felt very badly about the mistake. She even kindly offered me a refund or replacement. However, I am more than happy with how Strawberry Surprise turned out after a little TLC so I thanked her but declined the refund or replacement.
Anyway, despite the little hiccup with the slightly dirty pony, I'm really happy with the subscription box so far and I'm looking forward to seeing which pony will be sent next month. It boosts my confindence that Ruth is so approachable and concerned about her customers.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, the pony also arrives with an extra little gift (a MLP wallet, in my case), a comb or brush, a tail ribbon and a card with the pony's story on it.

I'm sensing a theme with a number of the presents I got this year. I love owls. Also, I got a lot of stuff for my dolls. Thank you so much, my family!
Merry Christmas!
A close-up of the wee Golden Books. My sister and I had a couple of these when we were kids.

A potato basket is a good place for stuffies. The Annete Himstedt doll was a gift from my aunt several years ago; the doll used to be in her collection.

The dolls hanging out on the trunk: Berry (Aileen Doll Rot), Kit (Azone Forest Animal Silver Fox – Lien), Jean (Azone Ex-Cute Sweet Punk Girls – Lien), and Rila (Azone Forest Animal Bear – Koron).
]]>I'm so happy I finally have a dollroom. I sometimes just go into the room and look at my dolls—it's very calming and makes me smile.
Soon, I'll be posting close-ups of some of the displays and more details about some of the dolls shown in the below photos.
This armoire used to be in our living room at our old apartment—it used to contain our TV and DVDs—now it is where I store several of my dolls.

A comfy spot to drink tea and read books.
