Dollstown Elysia (1 of 5)

My aunt's doll, a Dollstown Elysia/Impldoll hybrid, has been visiting me so that I could blush her body. Once I finished, I thought it was a perfect time to take a few pictures of her before I wrapped her up for her journey back home.

System Blushes (1 of 7)

My aunt's Lati Red Aida, aka System, was visiting me the last couple of months. She sent him to me so I could blush him and enhance his face-up a bit. It was fun to work on a doll that wasn't my own. Plus, I love Latidolls so it was great to work on one that's a lot bigger than Wednesday (my Lati Green Coco).

System Blushes (3 of 7)

For some reason, it's a lot of fun to blush elf ears.

I also really love to do manicures, even though they are challenging for me.

System Blushes (5 of 7)

System's angel hands—they are so cool.

System Blushes (6 of 7)

I don't like doing pedicures as much as manicures.

Yep, I blushed everything. haha

First Blush http://bjd.atomicspacekitty.com/workshop/first-blush http://bjd.atomicspacekitty.com/workshop/first-blush#comments Wed, 11 Jun 2008 22:33:02 +0000 http://bjd.atomicspacekitty.com/?p=46 My newest doll came in last week (Tuesday the 3rd). I haven't shown him yet because I was really disappointed with how his face-up (done by Soom) came out. While I loved his smoky eyes, I thought his lips looked way too too girly.

Lip Redo: Before

Pretty lips…if he was a girl.

But, yeah, they weren't going to work for him. So, I decided to redo them.

Lip Redo: After

And this is how they turned out. They aren't perfect, but they'll do. Pretty damn good for my first attempt at any type of face-up whatsoever. haha I love how subtle his lips are now–much more masculine, I think.

The next thing to do was blush his body. This part took me several days because of all the rain we've had up here lately (you really can't spray the MSC [sealant] when it's rainy or really humid). I concentrated on doing a subtle and natural blush. I hate blushing that looks too obvious. I just wanted to emphasis where the shadows fall.

First Blush (1 of 3)

Anyway, here are all the parts drying after I sealed them all. It looks like some sort of weird surreal forest. 😯

heehee Okay, no more surreal pictures. I promise to show off his blush and sexy body later.

First though, I must restring him. Hmm…think I'll go do that right now, actually. Later!

Make New Friends… http://bjd.atomicspacekitty.com/workshop/make-new-friends http://bjd.atomicspacekitty.com/workshop/make-new-friends#comments Fri, 15 Jun 2007 20:46:26 +0000 http://bjd.atomicspacekitty.com/?p=12 Last weekend, I was feeling crafty so I decided to make a couple of the friendship bracelets for my guys. It's been awhile since I last made these—since college, in fact— so I had to look up instructions online, and wouldn't you know but I found some at a Girl Scouts' site. Always prepared, those girls…or is that the boy scouts?

These two bracelets are modeled by Ethyn.

And Dom, the new guy, is modeling these bracelets.

The bracelet patterns are called Rainbow Slide and Candy Striper. *groan* I won't be sharing that fact with my guys.
