I just finished watching Voyage of the Unicorn. It was amazing! And now I know where The Sims 2 got the names Oberon and Tatiana or whatever. XD I suggest you watch it!
]]>Kara said: heehee ๐ I had never heard of Voyage of the Unicorn. Thanks for the recommendation, Ju. I'll have to put it on my list at Blockbuster.
I think Ethyn perfectly inspires that inner conflict of wanting to get close to him, but being frightened of him… all at once.
Maaan… Yer really makin' me want a BJD. XD
]]>Kara said: *puts on enabler hat* You should totally get a BJD! haha They are quite addictive and a fun hobby.
I agree with you about Labyrinth being a classic. It's just one of those movies that I come back to every so often to renew my sense of wonder. I also love the underlying tragedy and romance of it all. It has so many layers to it and I think you take something different away from it depending on what age you are.
"Your eyes can be so cruel…
…Just as I can be so cruel"
He looks incredible. He'd be a great Goblin King! ๐
]]>Kara said: Those lyrics are perfect, Alimah! I so love that movie. It's been at the root of many fantasies. ๐
]]>Kara said: Are you going to print out his picture and take it to the hair salon?
Lani: "I want my hair to look like his."
Cosmetologist: "…but he's a doll."
L: "Your point?"
C: "…"
Not being into BDJs, it's so weird for me to look at the joint point in their chests. I know it's there so they can bend but it's so eerie looking compared to their faces which have a humanistic quality to them.
]]>Kara said: haha! Well, I paid you to pad the comments too. ๐ It's funny, I barely notice his joints any more. Or if I do, I find them beautiful as, to me, they are an indicator of him being a poseable piece of art. On the other hand, I still think he looks odd in shortsโhis knee joint looks odd to me when it's bent.
]]>Kara said: Thanks, Mom! I'm glad your home. Now rest up so you'll be all set to go when you come visit. ๐
