I hope it works for you. *crosses fingers* 🙂
]]>Oh, I agree. Acrylic wigs are much easier to deal with. Once you get a mohair wig how you like it though, they are a ton of fun to style and they look great too. For me, however, it seems to take a lot of work to get the mohair wigs looking good.
And, yes, those instructions sent with it are horrible. I usually thoroughly wet the wig (including the leather cap) then shampoo and condition it (I leave the conditioner in for several minutes). Before rinsing out the conditioner, I comb the wig out gently with a hair pick or a very wide toothed comb. After the wig is rinsed, I sometimes spray in a bit of leave-in conditioner.
I don't towel dry it, I just drape a sheet of plastic wrap over my doll and fit the wet wig to her head so it can drip dry. This may take a couple days. When it's dried, it can be fluffed with your fingers.
This seems to work with most of my mohair wigs, but, of course, each wig is different.
]]>BanSidhe: Yeah, those wigs slip and slide a lot. I use a wig cap to keep it in place. To style, I usually have to wash it and let it drip dry otherwise they are a bit too wild for me.
