Smoking Break

Little did I know that quiet Dominik was such a rebel. When my husband saw these pictures he said (and this is copied directly from our IM conversation), "OMG, he smokes!??!?! I knew I didn't like that guy! He better not be smoking in the house!"

Although the overall response for these pictures was great (of which I'm so glad. I'm proud of the way they turned out). I thought it was funny that a few people made comments such as "smoking is bad for you" or "I don't agree with smoking." Well, yeah, it is bad for you. You can die from it. But…he's a doll! He's already made of resin. Plus it's a fake cigarette. He's not really smoking (again he's a doll)! The smoke was added with the magic of photoshop. 😆 I guess it just goes to show what a controversial issue smoking has become.

Dominik refuses to stop smoking. His argument? "Look," he says, holding up his hands. "My hands are practically built to hold a cigarette." He leans against the wall and crosses his arms. "Plus, I look damn sexy doing it."

Well, now. How can I refute that?

    I would never have guessed that the cigarette wasn't real. I didn't think you smoked so wondered where you got the cigarette and who lit it up for the photoshoot. You did a fantastic job with it in PS- you can't tell it isn't real.

    Kara said: Thank you! Yeah, it's just a plastic cigarette. I simply made it look like the tobacco was burning and added the smoke. It's a very good prop—so tiny too! I can't even imagine rolling a cigarette that small. hehe

    I'd always thoguht that the smoke came out of the person's mouth, too. That's how it seems when smokers so it…

    It's so cool! Plus real looking.

    I would like to get a doll soon. Start with a little girl first. Maybe Dollmore's Asha. I've even found a name for her: Takareki Hikari Helene. Takareki being her surname. =)

    After her, I guess I would save up and get a Dollshe Hound and have him nicknamed Wheat-kun.

    Randomness. Hahas.
