Here are a couple examples of the body blushing I did on Viktor. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be (I was a bit nervous as I've never worked on tan resin before), but his resin was really great to work on.

    The last two photos! They should be printed on those collectible card stickers (that used to be sold in gachapon-ish machines). Imagine a cult formed over your boys! XD

    I've just realised (with the mask gone) that Akandos and Spinels have similar head/jaw structures! And the rugged look's brought out even more with the monochrome photog.

    The hand blushing's awesome, too. Veins included. ^_^ Btw, was it hard to do the manicure? Is there a tutorial somewhere? 😀

    OMG! haha That would be pretty cool. 😉

    It's not too hard too do manicures. The hardest part, I think, is drawing/painting the white of the nail (I draw the line on with a white watercolor pencil, spray a coat of MSC then paint over it with white acrylic).

    I didn't use any tutorials, although it has taken me about 5 manicures to get down a technique that I really like. Viktor's hands were actually the first that turned out exactly how I wanted them. I even ended up redoing Julian's hands and I think I'm going to redo Katriss' somewhere down the line.

    The veins are fun to do too. Victor actually has raised veining on his hands anyway, so really all I did was lightly paint them with indigo pastels to emphasize them.

    Anyway, I didn't use a tutorial. But I did just find a blushing guide that could at least give you a starting point (although I recommend completely unstringing your doll, or at least just taking off her hands if you're going to do a manicure).

    haha, Kev! Dolls are perfect models because they have endless patience. Although for being inanimate pieces of resin, they still manage to cop a diva attitude now and then. 😉
