Berry is Here!

Berry's Arrival (2 of 4)

Berry has been here a week now. She arrived last Thursday.

I was so excited opening the box, and a wee bit disappointed when I discovered her paint hadn't been sealed. Luckily, I have plenty of MSC and Thursday happened to be sunny, dry and fairly mild (a very rare combination for this time of year in Seattle). I sprayed her with a few layers of MSC then left her overnight to fully dry.

Unfortunately, housework got in the way of playing with Berry over the weekend, but by Monday I had some freetime and managed to pick out some eyes for her. She's wearing 16mm eyes now (I only have a few 16mm eyes and these have the biggest irises), but I'm wondering if 18mm might not be better. I don't have any on hand to try out though. Oh, well. I'll probably just stick with these. They're pretty and look cute even if she does look constantly "wowed" by everything. haha! 🙂

I also put some wire in her arms. It's much easier to pose them now. Such cute little arms!

    Ooooh Congrats on Berry's arrival! It's strange that they didn't seal the paintwork. I'm glad nothing got scratched or rubbed off during transit!

    She looks so adorable and you know, being a dragon and all, she might be feeling a bit wowed by everything right now.

    How did you find Aileen Doll to deal with?

    Thank you! From reviews I'd seen on flickr, I had read that Aileen doll used to not seal their dolls; however, I thought they might have fixed that by now. But she arrived safely, nonetheless. I had no other problems with Aileen Doll. Of course, I never had to contact them about anything, so I'm not sure how they are communication-wise. I would definitely order from them again. It might be fun to have the grey baby dragon someday. 🙂
