The Stranger, a fanfic
January 31st, 2009
My friend and faithful reader of my blogs, Reyoko, wrote a wonderful fantasy starring Kaylee (MNF Shushu), Katriss (Soom Beryl), Wednesday (Lati Green Coco) and Ethyn (DS Hound). It's called "The Stranger" and was inspired by my Rainy Day Dreams photo shoot and a subsequent discussion that we had about a story idea. As it doesn't directly tie into my characters' stories, I'm going to consider it a movie or play that some of them starred in. 🙂
Thank you so much, Reyoko! I'm very flattered that my photography and dolls inspired you enough to write a story. I hope you continue it someday. I want to find out what happens next. :XO:

Finally, I get to introduce you to Merek, my Soom Sard. Initially, I wasn't going to introduce him until I finished his body blushing, but the weather up here has been so horrible that I may not get a chance to complete him until summer. 😡 His face-up—by elisa_maza (Angel Toast) who did Tahlvin (my IM Hound) as well—is done though and turned out exactly as I wanted. So, I thought I might as well enjoy him even though his body, hooves and horns are still unpainted.

Ack! Where did this month go? I meant to post these pictures awhile ago, but time got away from me. Oh, and Merry Christmas!

Ethyn has returned home with his new face-up by SDink and I'm so in awe. I've always loved Ethyn as he was my first doll to arrive home plus I simply love his sculpt, but he was being overshadowed lately by his new roommate, the gorgeous Julian. Now, he is beyond amazing. I'm so happy! I think he still looks like Ethyn, but much enhanced. Thank you, SDink!
I couldn't help taking some pictures of him and Katriss together. I had never planned on them being a couple when I originally ordered Katriss, but they seem so perfect to me now, especially with their improved looks.

Katriss (Soom Beryl) is finally done! Kittymaru from DoA did an excellent job with her face-up. I wanted something sultry and sexy, and I think she captured it. I liked the Soom default face-up, but it always felt a bit soulless to me. Kittymaru really brought her to life for me. (Thank you, Kristen!)
I also completely wiped her orginal body blushing and redid everything including her horns and hooves (I was sick of her looking jaundiced from the yellow tint of the body blush and her paint chipping off when you so much as looked at her wrong). Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the hooves this time, because I ran out of light. Stupid daylight savings time.
