Dark Hope

In Ethyn's newest project, the sci-fi/fantasy thriller Dark Hope, he plays Nikolai Vagner, a 500-year-old Russian vampire. I've interwoven the following pre-production stills with a summary of the movie:

In the 22nd century, after a bitter planet-wide war, vampires have enslaved humanity using them as livestock to feed the undeads' rapidly growing ranks. However, a prophecy of hope circulates throughout the slave camps about a human child born of a vampiric lineage who will overthrow the immortal Dark Lords and return Earth to humanity.

Nikolai is a rogue vampire trying in vain to regain his seat on the ruling Dark Council when fate (or perhaps the infernal machinations of the Dark Lords) brings him in contact with a human female—Angela. She is a member of an underground railroad that transports the slaves out of the livestock camps into a safe-zone heavily defended by the human rebellion. He has been sent by the Council to kill Angela; however, her uncanny resemblance to his late brother's wife Katya, who Nikolai had an affair with when he was first Turned, causes him to hesitate and stay his hand as he once again relives the memory of his beloved Katya burning at the stake when it was discovered that she was pregnant with his demon spawn.

But, what if their infant had somehow survived? What if Angela was his direct descendant? Was she the savior prophesized by the human cattle?

Heck. I'm in – when's the movie playing? It's funny because I'm in a VERY Russian mood. I just finished 'Rasputin's Daughter' and now I'm reading 'The Kitchen Boy' by Robert Alexander. I've got my eye on a library book on Catherine the Great next. By the by, where did Ethyn get those boots? I love them!!!

I also am hooked and love the photography with Ethyn. I also read Rasputin's Daughter and finished the Kitchen Boy before I left for Maine. I am really into that time period of Russian History. Lani and I are into the same thing. I would also like the name of the book on Catherine the Great. You have talent!!!!!! Love, Mom

I haven't read it but I've heard good things about this particular book:
Catherine the Great by Henri Troyat
I was wondering if Ethyn could model the boots and just the hat sometime for me? Yes, just the boots and fuzzy hat.

I want to see that movie! Those boots look awesome, so shiny! Ethyn looks all relaxed on these pics, like he is ruling the world or something. I love how you positioned his eyes slightly on the side, that give him a mysterious edge.
I think I have that Catherine the great book somewhere (in French, of course), but I haven't read it yet. My mom, who loves Troyat's books, gave me 4 or 5 novels from him. But I haven't read them all yet. I like his style.

Ok, at first I was a little weirded out by those dolls (which I had no idead existed until I came to your site) I was like.."OMG…they are so creepy, they could be POSSESSED!" But somehow I have grown to appreciate them. I don't know why. I think that they are particularly useful for photographers, too. Is that what sparked your interest?
