I'm so happy that I can finally introduce you to Emily Shadowtalon. She is the incarnation of a Sims 2 character of mine. She is also Edmond's (my Saint's) love interest and Tahlvin's (my IM Hound's) daughter, which makes her a half-elf since her mother is human.

She's not quite complete though. First of all, this isn't her final face-up. She'll be getting her a new one in April (I made an appointment with the artist back in January). I had Supiadoll (the company she came from) give her the current face-up so that I could at least enjoy her until she goes to get her permanent look. Unfortunately, at the moment she has reddish eyebrows, hence the heavy fringe strategically hiding her brows. haha

Also, while she's away, I'll be doing her body blushing and giving her tattoos (the most important tattoo being the one on her hand that matches Tahlvin's—it's their clan tattoo). I'm a bit nervous about that. I've never done tattoos before–that is hand drawn tatts instead of water transfer ones.

Today is my Dad's birthday. Wednesday drew him a picture of the new house he and my mom bought (to live in during the winter months when they aren't traveling around the country with their camper) and of him standing outside it. She drew the sun because Dad's in Arizona. She said if they had bought a house in Washington, she would have drawn a raincloud. Isn't she talented? 😉 Alice snuck into the picture too to say hi.

My mom ordered a Lati Green Coco in normal skin back in October (I think). This doll would be her second BJD (she also has a Pipos Baha kitty). So, for Christmas I got her some wigs and eyes for her incoming doll. I took pictures of my Coco, Wednesday, modeling the items so that Mom could see what they looked like and emailed the pictures to her on Christmas morning.

Author's Note:  For those of you not familiar with my Sims story The Monster and the Maiden, here is a quick introduction to the characters who appear here:

Edmond le Strange: Edmond is a mage who fled France for America after coming under the thrall of a curse. This curse turned him into a creature that feeds on blood although he is insistent that he's not a vampire. During the main story line of The Monster and the Maiden, he tries to find a way to rid himself of the curse.

Emily Shadowtalon: Emily is obsessed with learning anything and everything she can about the supernatural. In fact, in university, she majored in paranormal studies and became a paranormal investigator after she graduated. In The Monster and the Maiden, she first meets Edmond le Strange when she's a child. This fueled her obsession with the paranormal as she was convinced that he was a vampire. He insisted he was not, but she knows he's hiding something and she will not give up until she figures out his secret.

Tahlvin Shadowtalon: Tahlvin is an elf and a mercenary for the Wraith Warriors, an organization owned and run by his family. He is also Emily's father.

This little photostory can be considered as taking place in the future, after the main story is over (I'll do my best not to reveal any major spoilers from the main storyline).

Well, I had Katriss's face-up redone (by Shallowsleep at DoA, the same artist who did Thane's). I decided I wanted her to look more goth, glamorous and sexy than she did before. I also redid her blushing and made it much more subtle. I still have to redo her hooves and horns although I haven't decided on what colors to use yet. So, for now, she's in her human guise.

Anyway, I just love her now. When I see her standing on my nightstand (where she hangs out with Julian, Kaylee and Caroline), I often just stand and marvel over her for a few moments. She finally completely clicked for me.
